Our Methodology
Your builds start with a precise plan. Your insurance program should too. The Coverage Blueprint™ is ISSI's five-step process that rebuilds your coverage around how your business actually operates, from design through fabrication, installation, and strike.
Five Steps
We don't shop a GL/WC quote and call it done. We build an insurance platform that matches how your company operates today and grows with you.
We pull every policy and read it. Classifications, exclusions, audit conditions, subcontractor requirements, coverage limits — everything that could be working against you surfaces here.
We map your operation phase by phase — design, fabrication, transit, installation, strike. Who does what, where, and how. This becomes the foundation of your underwriting narrative.
We rebuild each line — GL, WC, property, inland marine, installation floater, umbrella — with the correct classifications, correct limits, and correct terms for your actual operations.
We take your narrative to carriers with real appetite for fabrication risk, not construction underwriters applying the wrong template. More carriers competing means better pricing and better terms.
Renewals begin 90–120 days out. We present carriers with what improved since last term, keep your classifications current, and ensure your program grows with your business year over year.
After the Blueprint
Most brokers treat the bind as the finish line. The Blueprint treats it as the start. Once your program is placed correctly, the work becomes keeping it correct and answering for it, every day you're operating, not just at renewal.
Certificates go out same day, correct the first time. No venue sends one back because the additional-insured wording was missing. When a contract lands on your desk with insurance requirements you can't parse, you get a concrete answer you can act on, not a wall of jargon and not a hedge. Bob has seen the same questions across an entire book of fabrication and experiential shops, so the answer is usually already in hand.
You're not relying on one person. Every client gets a dedicated team: an account manager, an assistant account manager, and a claims rep. Someone who knows your account is always reachable, so a COI request or a claim doesn't sit while one person is out.
The work keeps making the risk smaller. Between renewals, we look for places to tighten the operation itself: formalizing load-in and load-out procedures, sharpening driver selection, standardizing onboarding. Fewer claims and less severe ones, and a loss history that earns better terms the next time carriers look at you.
Tell us about your shop, your clients, and your project scope. We'll start with the story and build the program from there.
